FREEDOM FROM SIN

Romans 6:7 KJVS
For he that is dead is freed from sin.

In light of the substitionary work of Christ, Paul CONCLUDES the thought(vs1) and the reality(vs2) he has been trying to explain..
He concludes it in one sentence!
He(old self) that is dead(identify with Christ death) is freed(total freedom) from sin.

Beloved, remember the series was about if there's something called total deliverance from sin,condemnation and their consequences and effects!

If you've carefully followed since I started, you would definitely agree with what the Holy Spirit has explained to us through the pages of the scriptures that; is not just that we can overcome! It is that WE HAVE OVERCOME!

Glory to Jesus that it was not of your strength, that's why you can't just exhaust praising him everyday! He's done a lot for you and i!

You and I and everyone that truly believes on the gospel is ALREADY Freed from the legal ownership of sin through FAITH in his substition work for the whole world.
So identifying yourself with it makes you to be free from the dominion of sin!
Then, why does it seems like am still struggling with sin!
What you don't know seniors you!
If you enter a 20 storey building and you don't KNOW it has a LIFT, you will end up climbing stairs for hours!
If you don't know that in you is the power to overcome sin, one will literally live as his slave of sin for life!
Just like many people don't know all powers and principality that can ever be is under them! And they still allow themselves to be battered by them!

The scriptures says..
Galatians 4:1 KJVS
Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;

The heir is a child! And because of that, though he's the Lord of all! He differs nothing from a servant!!

A believer as long as he doesn't know Christ finished works for him or her, though he is the above sin, Satan, demons, sickness, he will still be a slave to them all.

Have heeded the command of the Holy Spirit to explain just a little about the infinite things we have in Christ through his finished works but the main thing is that YOU SEARCH and DISCOVER it YOURSELF!
The epistles (Romans - Jude) are written to the church to tell us what we are, what we have, instructions to live, and everything we need.
As from today, spend much time in it discovering who you are in Christ.
The old testament are the promises and prophecies of this realities, prophecies about Jesus, we checked them too and divide it with the already established knowledge of Christ
2 Timothy 3:15 KJVS
And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee WISE UNTO SALVATION through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
they make us wise unto it, we see Jesus through those books.. Also, we have stories there that can be used for examples and admonition.
1 Corinthians 10:11 KJVS
Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

The four Gospels was written for the WORLD that they might see and know the life of Christ on earth and believe!
John 20:31 KJVS
But these ARE WRITTEN, that YE MIGHT BELIEVE that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

But for you and  I that have believed! The church!
The epistles was written to us!
Romans 1:7 KJVS
To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, CALLED TO BE SAINTS: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 1:2 KJVS
Unto the CHURCH OF GOD which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that IN EVERY PLACE CALL UPON THE NAME OF JESUS Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

That's was how it was addressed throughout(Romans to jude), this is where we take doctrines, pattern of life, revelation of who we are and what we have etc..
So, we spend more time in it!

As we end this particular series, I will like you to CONFESS this with all boldness aloud!!!

I DON'T LIVE IN IT AGAIN!
IT DOESN'T CONTROL ME!
JESUS CONTROLS ME!
RIGHTEOUSNESS CONTROLS ME!!
